The Gurdjieff Foundation

The Gurdjieff Foundation, the largest organization directly linked to Mr. Gurdjieff, was organized in Paris in the early 1950s by his principal pupil, Jeanne de Salzmann, in cooperation with other direct pupils. Led by her until her death in 1990, the original Gurdjieff Foundation and other groups that sprang up in major cities around the world remain in relationship with one another. The work of the Foundations continues today with the guidance of the next generation, whose members were prepared by the direct pupils of Gurdjieff.
